The Restaurant
Founded in 1994, we are the only hangout in Soweto with a "non - black" chef
Mamkhulu's Tavern sits right at end of Orange Farm ext 2 overlooking Palm Springs Township, and the glimpse of Soweto and Westonaria. We have come to be known for our tasty traditional dish, your Mogodu, Manqina and Smiley to name few. Our main overall source of product being cow`s meat. Customers come as far as Soweto, Roodepoort and Westonaria to indulge on our delicious food. Many people confess that though everyone can cook this type dish, but not everyone has time to prepare it, it definitely requires dedication and love to achieve great results.
Indoor & Outdoor
Besides the genuine hospitality and the food, the place has a great chill area, the top deck and ground, where one can enjoy their meal while admiring the view within around the area. Our place is comfortable to warm or chilly seasons, and open to any events booking, being team building, birthday celebration, functions, etc.

Dedicated Team
Our establishment caters mostly for African Cuisine & that requires paying attention to detail, patience & passion, hence we carefully select our staff members. We have 2 shifts per day to ensure that they’re properly refreshed to begin a new challenging shift. Transportation is available for them for safety purposes, especially because some shifts are more demanding than others, we need them safe & sound.
